Orion PA 230 Pulse Arc Welders

Sunstone Engineering has designed the most powerful and robust micro pulse arc welder on the market – the Orion PA 230 ws Pulse Arc Welder. The Orion PA 230 is ideal for industrial applications like mold repair, medical devices, and unique welding solutions. Sunstone Technology is infused into the Orion PA 230 to deliver power, repeatability, adjustability and affordability.

The Orion PA 230 is also perfect for laboratories, universities as well as research and development facilities. Designed for maximum versatility and control, the Orion PA 230 can be adjusted for extremely fine welds to very large welds. A variety of metal alloys and different thicknesses can be welded at a touch of a button.

Below is a list of some of the other features and benefits of the Orion Pulse Arc 230:

Orion Pulse Arc 230 Features:

  • 45 welding presets – to provide maximum versatility and to help you get welding quickly. The welder contains three presets for each of the following: Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Titanium, Aluminum, Nickel, Copper, Brass, Gold, Silver, Platinum, Tungsten, Niobium and more.
  • 15 Customizable Weld Settings – Once the ideal setting has been realized, it can be saved in one of 15 memory locations. Each memory location can have a custom name applied to it and is quickly recalled at the touch of a button.
  • Power Adjustment Options – The Orion Pulse Arc 230 has enough power to weld challenging metals like silver, but can be adjusted to weld intricately around small features. The range of power adjustment is from 0.3 joules to 230 joules. In addition, power adjustments can be made in as low as 1% increments, allowing for greater precision.
  • Three Weld Modes – The Orion Pulse Arc 230 has been designed with three welding units in one high quality device. Pulse Arc Mode is perfect for larger welds, seams, adding material, welding thicker materials and any general manufacturing and repairs. Micro Pulse Arc Mode is designed for delicate and precision welding, thin materials and more. Spot Weld Mode is for temporary placement or permanent resistance welding using Sunstone's proven industrial capacitive discharge welding technology.
  • Welding Precision – Achieve “laser like” welds at a fraction of the cost. The Orion Pulse Arc 230 can deliver precise and powerful welds without the excessive cost of a laser and can also be used as a resistance welder – all in the same unit.
  • Save Time with Less Mess – The pulse arc welding process is virtually mess free and the heat generated is very localized. Little to no clean up of the weld is required and the operator can hold the parts in hand during the welding process.
  • Space saving – The Orion Pulse Arc 230 takes up minimal space and is very portable.
  • Language options and Help Menus – The Orion Pulse Arc 230 provides both English and Spanish language display with extensive help menus for convenience and support.
  • Complete computer control – no welding experience is necessary to master the Orion PA230. The user simply touches the pulse arc welding electrode to the welding surface and the Orion’s computer handles the rest of the welding process. Spot weld mode is also simple to use and the weld process can be controlled using a foot switch.
